I would like to sincerely thank you both for the truly memorable stay at Ballintean. Your hospitality needs to be sampled to fully appreciate the ambience the Steading has and the wonderful back drop the Cairngorms make to such a beautiful setting. I have travelled extensively around Europe for many years and the quality of your accommodation would put some European hotels to shame! The photographic opportunities were superb with a wide variety of birds and mammals, not to mention the unmentionable bird of the Caledonian pine forest and of course the Crested Tits...The guides Rob Jordan and Chris Gomersall looked after us very well indeed and they both went all out to make sure we had a wonderful time. The culinary dexterity of Sharon, producing such high quality food, was sublime, the menu was varied and went beyond being described as just "home cooking". She should have her own recipe blog on the Northshots website! May I once again thank you both for the warm welcome and for making my trip a memorable one.
