Scottish Islands

There's no getting away from it, islands are special places. During 2010/11 I've been extremely lucky to have spent time on many of Scotland's islands from Shetland in the far north to the Bass Rock in the south. I've photographed sea birds, sea eagles and seascapes and I've loved every single minute of it. Don't get me wrong these islands can be unforgiving - you only have to watch the weather forecast to see that - but equally, they can deliver as rewarding a wild experience as you'll get anywhere. I hope you enjoy these images but my advice would be to get out there yourself. Be warned though, it's addictive!
