Wild Wonders of Europe is a pan-European conservation photography initiative which has been two years in the planning. Peter Cairns, along with fellow photographers Staffan Widstrand and Florian Moellers are commissioning 50 of Europe's premier nature photographers to document the continent's natural treasures. Tooth & Claw in Manchester

The Tooth & Claw exhibition at Manchester has now closed with 30,000 people having visited. The event has now moved to Hull with a second copy running throughout 2008 in Hampshire. (see www.toothandclaw.org.uk/events.asp)

For the second year running Peter Cairns has been recognised in one of Europe's most demanding wildlife photography competitions. His image of a grey seal was 'highly commended' in the mammals behaviour category.
