Welcome to NORTHSHOTS, the home of award-winning nature and conservation photographer Peter Cairns.  From our base in the Scottish Highlands, we'd like to think we offer top-notch stock images of wildlife, landscapes and topical conservation stories. Our online store carries a wide range of books, prints and other products featuring Northshots' images.

But that's not all. You can join us in the spectacular Cairngorms National Park on one of our photo tours which also extend to a range of northern destinations (we don't do hot and humid).

If you'd rather do things at your own pace, you can relax at our stunning home base, Ballintean. Our comfortable self-catering accommodation is set right in the heart of the National Park.  

On top of all that, we’re passionate about visual communication and issues relating to wildlife and people. To that end, we’re currently working on several projects, including 2020VISION, Britain's most ambitious photography initiative...ever!
